Prime Minister Zaev visits East Gate Mall construction site

High representatives of the Government of Republic of North Macedonia, led by the Prime Minister, Mr. Zoran Zaev, visited the construction site of East Gate Mall.

Today, high representatives of the Government of Republic of North Macedonia, led by the Prime Minister, Mr. Zoran Zaev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Macedonia, responsible for economic affairs and coordination with the economic sectors, Mr. Fatmir Bytyqi, Minister of Economy, Mr. Kreshnik Bekteshi, Minister for Transport and Roads, Mr. Blagoj Bochvarski, as well as the Mayor of Gazi Baba Municipality, visited the construction site of East Gate Mall.

The high government representatives were hosted by Mr. Samir Mane, the President of Balfin Group and shareholder of Skopje East Gate, Mr. Arsim Papraniku, Board Member and the CEO, Mr. Igor Davkov who explained about the construction progress as well as informed about the structure, size, tenants and activities.   

The Prime Minister, Mr. Zaev expressed its satisfaction to be one of the first visitors in East Gate Mall, the most modern Mall in on the Balkans, that attracted significant brand names from all of the world. Being the biggest in the region by its GLA and mix of activities, the Mall besides the regular shoppers will attract many foreign visitors and transit travelers.

,,We are proud that East Gate Mall brings renowned brands in our country: 250 local and international trade marks. That means new working places that coincides with our efforts to create favorable working atmosphere for well-paid labor force, and attraction of new investments. Construction industry develops 70 activities and contributes significantly in the GDP and the creation of new working places.” – states the Prime Minister Zaev.    

The CEO of Skopje East Gate stated: ,,East Gate Mall is a new generation shopping center that develops a total built area of ​​160,000m2 and will spread on 5 floors, and will have 57,000m2 of total rental area for 250 brands. With a facility of this size, Skopje gets the largest mall in the region which will be the new place for going out, partying and shopping. It belongs to the so-called destination centers because it offers more content in one place: a wide selection of fashion and unique brands, services, playroom, 8 cinemas, 7 fine restaurants, fast food department with 800 seats, hypermarket, salons for furniture and appliances, and will be the only mall surrounded by green parks covering an area of ​​12,000m2. The total investment of Skopje East Gate is 350 mil euros and the total investment of East Gate Mall only amounts to 103 Mil euros.”
